Native Norwegian Rune Temte has again made his mark internationally in his role
as Bron-Char in the 1 billion US hit superhero movie, Captain Marvel.
One of 2019 most anticipated movies.
Temte grew up in Solbergelva utside Oslo.
After graduating with a business degree from The London School of Foreign Trade, he changed gears and
entered into the world of professional soccer, playing for the Norwegian football club, Strømsgodset.
Still connected to his former career, Temte remains an honorable member of Leeds United Supporters Trust.
Despite a successful track record in sports, Temte decided to pursue his dream of becoming an actor.
He began honing his craft at the revered Drama Studio London, in 1994. Shortly afterwards, Temte began
his career on the stage in such notable Scandinavian theater productions as Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Puck, and Oberon.
In 2015 Temte landed a central role in the internationally acclaimed TV series, The Last Kingdom, playing Viking warlord, Ubba, The following year he took on the role of Lars Ulvenaune in the popular British sci-fi TV series, Fortitude. In 2016, he performed in the Swedish hit gangster comedy, Torpederna (The Hitmen). That same year he landed the pivotal role of Bjorn the Norwegian coach in the blockbuster hit, Eddie the Eagle, in which he performed opposite
Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton.
Temte’s work ethic and talent have not gone unnoticed, qualities instrumental in his being awarded a
number of local and national government arts grants.
In 2017, he was invited to participate on the jury of the UK’s Fisheye Film Festival, and also sat
on the panel of the Helsinki International Film Festival (FIN) in 2018.
A tireless philanthropist, through volunteer work as an actor Temte has contributed to Doctors Without Borders.
He took it a step further and persuaded Marvel Studios to make a donation to DWB in lieu of a birthday
present they were preparing to give him.
